Always On The Scene…. Feb 15, 2016

Independence, Missouri Mission December 2015 (look at right side, midway, 2 back from sister in red sweater)

Great week this week except for everyone seems to be getting sick.
We don’t often find whole families to teach but this week we tracked
into one and they are really open to us teaching them. Yesterday we
were wondering if one of our investigators was really sick or if they
were just dodging appointments, so we stopped by and they were really
nice. And really sick so that was good and bad.

On Thursday there was a 18+ couples valentines dinner put on by the
Ward and the missionaries were invited. It was lots of fun and an
investigator came. After dinner there was minute to win it games.

On Saturday after a day in Garnett with our Ward mission leader we saw
some people moving into a house in the dark and asked if they needed
help. One man there was like,  “Wow you guys are always on the scene.” and
then we recognized him…He was having some car trouble and we helped
him and now he has invited us over for some barbecue.

Sunday a members son turned eight and they asked us to be the
witnesses. We are hoping for a baptism in this area by the end of
March. Everything is going good here in Ottawa Kansas. Had fun today
playing flag football for p day.

Have a great week. Love ya,

Elder Egbert
