July 4th, Independence Day 2016

Quick highlight of the week were able to finally have a discussion with this guy that lives by us. His name is Zach he is pretty cool been in the army and has had a pretty rough life but now has like everything he wants in a sense. He lost faith when he died in Iraq. He was dead for about 6 minutes and then came back to life. That was a miracle. But when he was dead he says he didn’t feel or see anything. He was expecting something more, but there just wasn’t anything. As he was telling us this he got pretty choked up. We were then able to show him a awesome Mormon message called the Hope of God’s Light.

After which we bore the most simplest of testimonies. I know that God lives, he knows us personally and loves us beyond our understanding. And because he loves us he will never leave us alone (“Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (D&C 88:62–63).. If we let go of the anger, pride and doubts we allow ourselves to find God. He has been there the whole time it just takes an act of faith to take off our blindfold and find him.

Until Friday this week was Fan-tast-ic then it nose dived. It picked back up Sunday. A couple reasons it nose dived are.. My companion broke his bike pedal and rode with 1 1/2 a pedal. Lots of rain all day long, our neighbors think were crazy because for two weeks we drive a nice ford fusion and then all of a sudden we are out peddling in the rain. They’re like why in the world aren’t you driving the car?

Its been really fun making friends with all the little neighbor kids. They make sure to tell us that they have been praying everyday..well most everyday. Lol.

Happy 4th of July have a wonderful week!!
