Hey,
So I’ll tell you about my week backward. Today we went to the temple at 9 am to clean it. So much fun to be able to soak everything in and pay attention to every detail. My job was to vacuum the stairs with this jet pack looking thing. I felt like I was a Ghost Buster. The temple workers actually did make jokes about Ghost Busting. We were able to sit in the Celestial room all alone on a Monday it was wonderful.
Sunday our neighbor who we helped move on Saturday needed our help once again. Her son is 13 and a very naughty boy. Swearing and beating up his mom earlier that week police were called 2x in one day. He is a normal kid and knows how to act but just has just had some rough things happen. Like his dad passing away. So we played with him and did some counseling.
Saturday we organized a move for the person already mentioned above. Right after that we helped a member unload a piece of furniture. But the highlight of Saturday is that we were able to volunteer at Harley’s (the gentleman we live with who is not a member) Candy shop. We scooped ice cream all night for people it was awesome. We got anything we wanted for free it was great.
Well I could go on and on about the week but I will just leave it at that.
Also had a zone conference and so I will just briefly share something I liked.
They talked about willing obedience and asked us to study Samuel 15. Being able to be willingly obedient is a great indicator of who you really are.
Have a great week. Sometimes a mission makes you really, really, really tired. And then uncomfortable positions somehow become sleep-able. Props to my companion for the photography and editing of this Kodak moment.
