This week was giggidy.
Um oh yeah also responding about the tornado thing, wasn’t a big deal just lots of rain and tornado warning went off. It’s been a miracle filled week and I am really excited so this letter might be kind of all over the place. I’m kind of scatter brained.
So a really busy day this week we had dinner with the _____, the people with the huge house, long driveway. Brought Brother T their neighbor and a very eccentric physical therapist. Great dinner and conversation. They love us, we only had like 5 minutes to talk about the gospel but they kept their commitments from last time to read, so we left them with a short message and commitment. We left their house at about 8:30.
From the (big house, long driveway) we went to D’s house for a lesson with our Branch mission leader Bro Packard and his wife who are friends of D***. Bro Packard is a very loud, blun,t funny salesman personality. Great for team ups. So, great lesson the husband even joined I asked him “Hey want to come join in on the lesson” and he came right over! Bro Packard then asked D’s husband and the son about their desire to be baptized. The son said he wants to be baptized and his Dad said not yet. D*** is strong and comes to church faithfully. She’s awesome. In that lesson D**** also expressed her concerns about tithing. Giving tithing is really going to strengthen her testimony.
On one visit with a Bro Mack 1st counselor we went to a in-actives house and they let us in and we were able to have an awesome visit. I ended up randomly sharing a childrens bible video that brought out a lot of questions and they expressed desire to get their children baptized and come back to church.
Then sunday on team ups with Elders Quorum president we had a few things cancel and I knew this one potential investigators house that was worth a try and directed them to her house. She just happened to be home alone which was a miracle. And she was super interested in meeting with the missionaries just working 13 days on 1 day off. She was working 2 full time jobs. But now she is moving to North Dakota with her family in 1 week and will have a regular schedule and wants to meet with missionaries there and go to church.
So now a few members of the Branch Council think I am inspired. Ha. It makes me feel uncomfortable so I just call it luck. I never felt the Holy Ghost direct me there, it just felt like the most logical and right thing to do.. Being guided by the spirit is difficult.
I’m proud of Paige bearing her testimony. A testimony is to be found in the bearing of it. The more we give the more we have. How does the Egbert family produce such strong members. Out here it seems like everyone has a family member who has fallen away whether it’s the father, mother, brother, sister, daughter or son. The future is always uncertain and I pray that our faith will not fail.
Oh yeah I almost forgot there was a baptism this Saturday and D**** and her husband came!
The work is really moving forward here, lots of people progressing.
