So another wonderful week here in Chillicothe MO. So this week at district meeting John Davies who was formerly a RLDS member and plays the organ in their “temple” came and talked to us about the Holy Ghost. That was a good experience seeing how he converted. He quoted ‘All truth is independent in that sphere in which God has placed it.’ (D&C 93:30.). Even though he was not in the “true” church he still had truth. He believed in the Book of Mormon and knew pretty much all the lessons they taught him already. It was HOW they taught that converted him. They taught by the Spirit and he could feel it.
There was a good turn out at the chili cook off this week. Lots of less and inactive members. We were the judges for the chili. Most of the chili was good.. there was this one pot of chili that was like dark brown/black that was disgusting to eat. Always have to be careful out here.
On Friday two more of the Crider family were baptized. Brad and Jacob, father and son. It was sad that I wasn’t able to go to that because of the distance. President said I should just go to the temple to do baptisms for the dead with them. I was able to skype into the baptism though and that made it a little better. I called Donna the day before and talked to her for a while. Things are going great with them. She said she missed me so she got on Facebook and had to look me up.
Also went to a wedding this week for a non member who just married a member. They got married in our building by the Branch President.
Also helped move this salon. That was awesome, lots of non member ladies who love us now. The owner tried to pay us but I was just like, “We can’t take money but how about a hair cut?” She thought that was a good idea. Yay!
Hmm.. yeah so that was the week, got lots of work to do here but its going slowly but surely.
